Russian broadcasting, RTTV, visited Wonjin Plastic Surgery to film documentary about young people who are dreaming to be a k-pop star and ‘cosmetic surgery’ which cannot be separated about ‘Korean beauty’

RTTV is an international broadcasting company which firstly reaches a billion views from YouTube and it is second popular abroad broadcasting channel after American BBC. Also it is broadcasting in various languages and opened 3 different languages’ broadcasting station as English, Arabic, and Spanish.

RTTV was highly interested in Korean celebrities and teenager’s plastic surgery. They were having a lot of interviews about the reason why Korean celebrities are still look young and beautiful, cosmetic surgery’s current and future trend and teenager’s cosmetic surgery. According to the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) 2012 statistics, it was shown that the country with the most number of plastic surgeries was the US. Following the US was Brazil, China, India, and Japan, and our country was 8th. (2010 statistics)

'Medical K-Wave' Foreign Patients Visit

Bilgun Bachaihan (1) born in a tent in Mongolia, received brain tumor surgery at a local hospital, but it did not get better. Another surgery was needed, but it was impossible to get in Mongolia. There were 27 people (last year 21 people) who spent more than 100 million KRW, and 5011 people (last year 1732 people) who spent 10 million KRW.

If we take a look at foreign patients by country, the most came from the US (27.0%), Japan (22.1%), China (18.9%), Russia (9.5%), Mongolia (3.2%) in order. The treatment is as follows Internal Medicine (15.3%), DermatologyㆍCosmetic Surgery (12.7%), Family Medicine (8.7%), Exam Center (8.3%) in order. In 2010, DermatologyㆍCosmetic Surgery had the most treatments in just 1 year, but the 1st place went to Internal Medicine.

Actually, they came to Korea to film regarding Korean culture, which Arirang TV cooperated with Aftenposten. For an individual interview, Reidun visited Wonjin Plastic Surgery in person to have an interview about Korean plastic surgery trend and culture.

For the interview at Wonjin Plastic Surgery, Wonjin Plastic Surgery’s surgery patient and a consultant were interviewed. The reporter showed great interest in Korean teenagers having eye plastic surgery. The interview was briefly about the reason of getting plastic surgery and the best thing about after the operation.

Wonjin Beauty Medical Group Familiarization Tour for Korea Association of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery - About 100 concerned visitors from China of Korea Beauty Industry Society have visited Wonjin Beauty Medical Group.
Many people around the world visit Wonjin Beauty Medical Group to experience the advanced plastic surgery technology and to find the trend of plastic surgery.

End of April in 2016, about 100 beauty industry personnel, including plastic surgeons from China have visited Korea to experience the outstanding plastic surgery clinic hosted by Korea Association of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery. Among numerous clinics in Korea, they chose to visit Wonjin Beauty Medical Group. The purpose of this visit was to share the excellent facilities and the management system of the plastic surgery industry in Korea and it was overcrowded that visitors had to be divided into teams for familiarization tour around the clinic. 

The familiarization tour started off with the introduction of Wonjin Beauty Medical Group by introducing Wonjin Dermatology, Anti-aging Center, Body Line Center, Medinent (Permanent) Center, and Dental Clinic to introduce Wonjin’s Total Beauty System.
